![]() So I'm relegated to buying tons of tools, and reading endlessly about procedures and techniques so that hopefully by time 5,000 more miles pass I can have some idea of what must be done. ![]() But of course, "the dealers are incompetent", so that's doesn't seem to be a good option either. But hell, I can just take the car to the dealer and let them worry about all of this too. But for those of us without VCDS, it's another $250+ that we have to spend. To read these forums, one would believe that we all would have to be flown to Germany and certified with Volkswagen to make it past the 1,000 mile mark.Īll kidding aside though, I understand that if you have VCDS you might as well prime it. I find it hard to believe, that with such advancements in technology, that these cars would be so sensitive to basically EVERYTHING. Have I somehow now done irreparable damage to my HPFP's because of this? I've probably started the car flawlessly 30 times since that failed start. So, I removed the key, put it back in the car and had to crank it for about 5 seconds to get it to fire. A couple of weeks ago, I went out, turned the key on my car, and I left off the key just a fraction of a second too soon and the car didn't start. ![]()
